These two tracks were recorded in Regents Sound Studio in London in 1968 by the blues rock band The Earth.

The line-up comprised of Ian Harris (vocals), Alan Parsons (guitar), Roy Quilley (organ), Barry Mitchell (bass) and Phil Brockton (drums). A-side Miseducation was previously released in 2015 on the vinyl-only LP Elemental that issued the ‘lost’ album the band recorded at these Regent Sound sessions. Song For Katherine was recorded at the same session and features Roy Quilley on vocals.

It has never been previously released.

After laying down their lost album The Earth split up. Alan Parsons went on to fame and fortune, Barry Mitchell became the original bass player with Queen and Ian Harris went on to become a graphic designer.

Miseducation/Song For Katherine is licensed from Ian Harris who also designed the hand-folded sleeve.

Each record comes with two postcards and a sticker.

This 7” is limited to 500 copies.

When they are gone - they are gone.
